Position: Analyst
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Status: Regular FT / Exempt
Reports to: Senior Analyst
Purpose: DMT is looking for a creative web developer who will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of websites and web-based media. Must have a passion for Web 2.0 technologies that connect people, ideas and resources. Familiarity with media development for e-learning important. In addition to managing all client websites, he or she will provide technical assistance and offer proactive trainings and services to the client as appropriate. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding skills in problem analysis and resolution, critical thinking, research, technical writing, data presentation, report preparation, and oral presentations.
Essential Accountabilities:
Web Site Administration:
- Knowledge and application of web-based social networking, communities of practice and other Web 2.0 technologies.
- Programming experience in HTML, CSS, PHP, mySQL, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated experience with developing and administering content management systems (CMS), i.e. Drupal or similar CMS.
- System administration experience with Linux operating systems.
- Web Product Development:
- Solid experience in online video and audio delivery technologies. Creating and integrating video and audio assets into CMS and other web and e-learning applications.
- Experience with Adobe Flash and Photoshop.
- System administration experience with Linux operating systems.
- Data collection:
- Collect and track bi-weekly, monthly, and ad hoc inputs from client websites.
- Experience using website data collection tools, i.e., Google Analytics or proprietary tool.
- Coordination:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external technical support vendors to achieve all contract deliverables.
- Experience in outsourcing media development when needed and overseeing contractor work.
Knowledge of the Following Desired
- Familiarity with Ajax and XML.
- Graphic design principles.
- Experience with managing and archiving of media assets for reusability.
- Experience with knowledge management technologies, concepts and processes.
- Knowledge of user-generated content and viral marketing on the Web.
- Experience in online course design.

Benchmarking. Participates in the planning, research, data collection, analysis, and promotion of client best and promising practices.

Needs Assessment. Supports the annual needs assessment of programs, identifying organizational needs that can be serviced through training and technical assistance. Prepares research reports, and other written material that frame the development of an annual training plan, and assists in presentations of research reports and related findings.

Knowledge Management. Identifies, researches, collects, analyzes and reports on knowledge resources relevant to the field of youth and families in need and writes point papers, discussion papers, information papers, position papers and executive summaries when appropriate.

New Business: Participates in new business initiatives and proposal writing project teams. Provides competitive and business intelligence research, analysis, and information papers. Serves as book boss, technical lead, or editor on proposal development teams as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Profile :
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred.
Experience:

5 - 7 years corporate experience preferred (minimum 4)

Experience identifying and analyzing customer needs, and making recommendations to meet those needs.

Benchmarking experience desirable.

All aspects of new business and proposal development process highly desirable, including research, capture, storyboarding, and proposal writing.
