Position: Associate Analyst
Location: Portsmouth, NH
Status: Regular FT / Exempt
Reports to: Senior Analyst / WPD Talent Center Lead

Purpose: The Associate Analyst will engage in content development for web and e-learning products. Candidate will be comfortable building content on Web 2.0 applications and following instructional systems design (ISD) processes. The Associate Analyst contributes to publications, e-newsletters and training materials. Candidate will grow and enhance online communities of practice for client and assist with e-learning initiatives, including designing and developing of lessons, activities, and media.

Essential Accountabilities:

  • E-learning and Online Communities of Practice: Assist with the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of online learning lessons, content and other collateral. With Web Developer, assist in the creation of content for podcasts and other media assets for e-learning. Support in the development of electronic communities of practice. Integrate social networking strategies and Web 2.0 technologies as appropriate.
  • Development: Working closely with other teams, create online lesson plans and course collateral. Assist with the creation, maintenance and success of the online classroom. Adhere to design guidelines, templates and standards in the development of course materials. Catalog and archive online course materials. Work cross-functionally with the training team, the instructional systems design team and strategic operations and planning team to ensure development needs are met. Comply with production timelines.
  • Knowledge Management: Assist in the development and maintenance of an internal corporate knowledge management strategy. Provide up-to-date information and resources on KM best practices. Support the implementation of document management system, project management and online community tool. Provide assistance in the tagging, archiving and maintenance of knowledge assets.
  • Evaluation: Assist with the development of course evaluations in electronic format. Support the instructional systems design team as necessary for the creation of Level I, II, III evaluation instruments and reporting processes.

Minimum Qualifications and Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.

Experience:

  • One to two years experience with instructional design, training and or course development.
  • Experience in online course or curriculum design.
  • Experience using Web 2.0 technologies.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong technical and creative writing skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks, respond to direction, work independently and as a team.
  • Ability to work on teams.
  • Ability to follow existing models AND also contributing innovative thought.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills. Excellent computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Experience using Dreamweaver or HTML editor.
