Jennifer Walper-Roberts Jennifer has managed over twenty mentoring programs for young people both in New York City and London, enhancing DMT’s strength with more than a decade of experience developing and implementing mentoring and training programs to help close achievement and income gaps. As Senior Project Manager for the Mentoring Children of Prisoners contract, Jen draws on her vast experience working with young people and mentors, and managing resources, teams and clients. The result is the delivery of timely and high-impact technical assistance to organizations running mentoring programs for children of prisoners. Collaborating with a wide range of organizations, including those that are community based, residential foster care agencies and schools to major Investment Banks, Jen specializes in working across sectors and institutions to develop a shared sense of commitment toward assisting young people as they strive to realize their potential. Jen graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Government and Politics & Spanish from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Masters in Public Administration from the City University of New York at Baruch College. Additionally, she has completed the Big Brothers /Big Sisters of America-Fordham University of Social Work Certificate course in Mentor Program Supervision and the NYC Citizens Committee for Children Community Leadership Course and Positive Peer Culture training. She likes to spend time rambling in the British country-side, walking in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, drinking coffee with gal pals, or the New York Times, and occasionally making quilts.
