Karen Morton-Clark Karen Morton-Clark applies her vast experience to event planning at Dare Mighty Things. Across 30 years, Karen has earned numerous awards for excellence and performance in her roles in Event Planning, Program Management and Development, Hospitality Sales, Marketing and Public Relations. Working with high risk populations in the area of substance abuse prevention and health education, Karen is established as a respected and passionate leader in the area. As associate consultant with the events talent center, Karen creates and executes successful plans for all training events associated with the National ChalleNGe Institute. She helps deploy approximately 38 courses serving over 1200 participants each year in Portsmouth, NH, Washington, DC and other locations around the country. Karen has organized numerous trainings and initiatives for large and small groups including high risk youth, parents, agencies, clubs, schools, corporate settings and special interest groups. As the Coalition Director for the Dover Police Department, Karen managed all aspects of an event drawing 10,000 attendees. This event was designed to heighten awareness of substance abuse prevention and strengthen ties among youth, families, civic agencies and businesses. Karen holds an A.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Retailing, a B.A. in Communications and she is a Certified Mediator. With roots from southern California to New England, Karen enjoys all outdoor activities, especially those she can share with her daughter Krystie, and her much anticipated “expected” grandson. Among her passions she enjoys exploring the Seacoast, writing, dancing and pursuing music and theatre. She blends all of her interests into her volunteerism with Racing for Recovery, a national organization that supports those affected by addiction through health and fitness initiatives.
