Betsy F. Tuohey Betsy Tuohey possesses extensive expertise in human resources strategies, both for launching and expanding new ventures as well as for implementing scalable development plans to attract and retain talent. She focuses in the areas of organizational assessment and effectiveness, leadership coaching, career transition planning, training, and human resource systems development. At DMT, Betsy applies her special interest in the alignment of selection, retention, and personal development systems to DMT’s efforts to select and support exceptional talent. She also contributes to DMT's National ChalleNGe Institute courses by providing instruction in communication techniques, leadership principles, labor relations, and job placement. Betsy’s educational background includes a BA from St. Mary’s College (Notre Dame, IN), a year abroad at St. Louis University of Madrid, Spain and a summer exchange program in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She has also received certificates in change management (University of Southern Maine), training and instructional design, and transformational coaching. Betsy earned her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) designation in 2000. She has taught employment law, emotional intelligence, advanced leadership skills and a variety of other human resource programs at the University of New Hampshire, as well as speaking through public seminars. Betsy is an avid explorer, hiker and kayaker. When not visiting a new area of earth with her husband and new daughter, she can be found putting “just one more plant” in her backyard gardens.
