Military culture education for civilian providers transforms access to care for those who have served in the military. In a statewide survey, NH veterans let us know that one of the top barriers in receiving care was that they “do not feel understood by the providers who serve them.” Military culture education can bridge that gap, and has the power to transform care by equipping providers with the tools they need to improve rapport, communication, and referral pathways.

On behalf of the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Dare Mighty Things is conducting free military culture training for NH Service Providers with the goal of improving access to and quality of care for Service Members, Veterans, and their Families.

"Far better it is to dare mighty things.” These words, spoken by Teddy Roosevelt, inspired me 25 years ago to launch DMT. Since that time, I have been privileged to serve with hundreds of DMT team members who believed these words, committing themselves to bold endeavors on behalf ofour clients, working together to help vulnerable people survive and thrive. Because they acted, today hundreds of thousands of lives have beentransformed. Remember, “it is not the critic who counts; nor the one who points out how the strong person stumbled…the credit belongs to the person who is actually in the arena; whose face is marred by dust, and sweat, and blood.” So don’t just dream. Do."
- Dave Van Patten, Founder
